Jenneya Bennett Joins the Diversity Talks' Team

After only a year since incorporating, Diversity Talks adds Program Coordinator, Jenneya Bennett to the team

"student voice is essential in creating real change in the field of education"

As our new Program Coordinator, Jenneya is charged with the task of managing programming at our partner sites this upcoming school year. From student recruitment to the actual delivery of workshops, Jenneya will be responsible for leading a very lengthy process for various stakeholders.

Jenneya comes to us after spending nearly a decade working and volunteering with education-based organizations. She understands that the centering of student voice is essential in creating real change in the field of education and strongly believes in self-advocacy and empowerment as a catalyst for sustainable reform and community healing.

Jenneya has had the unique experience of attending Rhode Island charter, private, and public K-12 schools, giving her insight on the impact of bias and lack of resources on student outcomes.

"These experiences have fueled her passion for seeking academic equity and bridging the gap between educators and the communities that they serve."

Jenneya graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a focus on Africana Studies.

World, meet Jenneya Bennett!
